The mission of the Blissfield Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the quality of life in the community by providing a wide variety of healthy, wholesome activities as well as preserving and maintaining our local parks, facilities and open spaces.
Blissfield recreation offers a fall flag football program. This
instructional program is designed for the younger children and offers a
basic instruction to football skills. The program emphasizes fun while
offering socialization, skill learning, and game play. Games are on
Saturdays on the Blissfield Middle School grounds while practices are
scheduled throughout the week depending on the coach’s schedule.
Football cleats are optional. A team shirt and mouth guard is included
in the fee.

Blissfield recreation offers a fall 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade tackle football program. This program is part of the Wolverine Football League and is designed to be an instructional league. This is written into the by-laws of the league and is understood by each team. This league and each individual program are to strive to teach the game of football to each participant.
