Village Clerk
The Village Clerk is an appointed position. The Clerk was changed from elected to appointed in 2019. The Clerks main functions are to maintain all official Village records, ordinances, resolutions and serves as Secretary to the Village Council. The Village Clerk serves as official custodian of the Village seal and manages the retention and storage of all records, documents, and ordinances. The Village Clerk also administers oaths of office. The Clerk plays an active role in administering the human resources function of the Village. This includes payroll, liaison with benefit providers, enrollment and dis-enrollment of employees from benefit plans. In addition, the clerk processes all accounts payable transactions.
