Department of Public Works

The Department of Public Works (DPW) was formed to provide maintenance, repair, connection, and service to the Village’s water and sewer infrastructure, schedules and performs water and sewer inspections, Miss Dig staking for water and sewer lines, sidewalk installation and repairs, and construction inspections for developments.

Leaf Pick Up Schedule:

Leaf pick up starts mid-October through November.

Schedule:

  • Monday & Tuesday: South of US -223 and East of River Raisin
  • Wednesdays: North of US-223 and East of River Raisin
  • Thursdays: North of US-223 and West of River Raisin
  • Fridays: South of US-223 and West of River Raisin

Rake your leaves to the curb for the DPW crew to pick up. Do not rake your leaves into the street and do not burn leaves. Keep the piles away from utility poles, signs, trees, and guy wires. Make sure that no cars are parked in front of the curb. Do not mix brush and garden materials in with leaves.

Brush Pick Up:

Village brush pick up is 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Winter months (December through March) pick up is the 2nd Tuesday of the month. No brush pick-up in November.

Hydrant Flushing:

The Village conducts hydrant flushing in the Fall and Spring.

Miss Dig:

If you are requesting a Miss Dig please go to https://www.missdig.org/ to submit your request.

Street Sweeping Schedule:

To assist in the cleaning and maintenance of our streets our street sweeping schedule is once per week on curb and gutter streets.
